Sylvia Mendez Silvia Méndez hija mayor de Gonzalo Méndez un emigrante Mexicano y Felicitas Méndez mujer Puerto Riqueña que lucho para que sus hermanos y ella pudieran tener igualdad educativa por medio del caso Méndez et al contra Westminster et al. Méndez continua la legaría que le dejaron sus padres de abogar por la educación. Silvia Méndez trabajo como enfermera por 33 años en el centro medico de la Universidad del Sur de California en Los Ángeles. Actualmente la señora Méndez dedica sus anos de jubilación viajando al extranjero y dando conferencias y platicas en universidades por toda la nación con el propósito de recalcar la importancia de obtener una carrera y permanecer la escuela. |

Dr. Juan Sepúlveda comisionado por la Secretario de Educación Arne Duncan el 19 de Mayo del 2009 al cargo de director de la iniciativa para la excelencia educativa de los hispanoamericanos. Bajo este cargo el es responsable de dirigir los esfuerzos de las iniciativas de la Casa Blanca que involucran a estudiantes hispanos, familiares, padres o organizaciones, y cualquier persona que trabaje dentro o con el sistema educativo de la comunidad a nivel nacional (Estadounidense) como participe activo para mejorar el desempeño académico de los hispanoamericanos. |

Dolores fue fundadora asociada de la unión de Campesinos junto con Cesar Chávez (UFW). Dolores nos guiara por un recuento especial posterior al film de “Viva La Causa”, la cual se enfoca en los eventos claves de la marcha por los derechos humanos- la huelga de la uva y el boicot comandado por Cesar Chávez y Dolores Huerta. |
